Maxalt Should Not Be Used:

You should not use Maxalt if you have had an allergic reaction to Maxalt (rizatriptan), or if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure , a history of heart attack or stroke, or certain heart problems . Talk with your doctor about what these heart problems are. Do not take Maxalt(rizatriptan) within 24 hours after taking another migraine headache medicine such as dihydroergotamine (DHE 45®, Migranal®), ergotamine (Cafergot®, Ergomar®, Wigraine®), methysergide (Sansert®), naratriptan (Amerge®), sumatriptan (Imitrex®), zolmitriptan (Zomig®). Do not take rizatriptan within 2 weeks after taking an MAO inhibitor (Eldepryl®, Marplan®, Nardil®, Parnate®).

How to Use Maxalt:

Tablet, Dissolving Tablet

• Your doctor will tell you how much of Maxalt to take and how often. Do not take more medicine or take it more often than your doctor tells you to.
• Maxalt is not for treating cluster headaches or certain types of migraine headaches. Do not use Maxalt unless it has been prescribed for you by a doctor.
• Maxalt will not prevent a migraine headache. Take the medicine as soon as possible after your headache starts.
• If you need to take a second dose of the medicine, wait at least 2 hours after taking the first dose. If the medicine does not relieve your headache at all, call your doctor right away.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew it.
• Keep the orally disintegrating tablet in the blister pack inside the outer foil pouch until you are ready to take the medicine. Make sure your hands are dry and peel open the blister to remove the tablet. Place the tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve. You do not need to drink water to swallow the dissolved tablet.
• The orally disintegrating tablet contains phenylalanine. Tell your doctor if you have phenylketonuria (PKU) before using this form of Maxalt(rizatriptan).
• Never share your medicine(Maxalt) with anyone.

How to Store and Dispose of Maxalt:

• Store Maxalt at room temperature in a closed container, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins,and herbal products.

• Make sure your doctor knows if you are also using propranolol (Inderal®), or medicine for depression (such as trazodone,Celexa®, Effexor®, Luvox®, Paxil®, Prozac®, Serzone®, Zoloft®).

Warnings While Using Maxalt:

• Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease, liver disease, or kidney disease.
• You may have a higher risk of heart disease if you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes, or if you smoke, are overweight, have a family history of heart disease, are a man over 40, or are a woman who has had a hysterectomy or has gone through menopause.
• Make sure your doctor knows if you have any of these risk factors before you take Maxalt(rizatriptan).
• Maxalt may make you dizzy or drowsy. Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
• Do not use Maxalt if your migraine headache symptoms are different from usual. If you have a severe headache and do not think it is a typical migraine, call your doctor. If you need to use this medicine to treat more than 4 migraine headaches in one month, tell your doctor.

Possible Side Effects While Using Maxalt:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

• Changes in vision
• Irregular heartbeat
• Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
• Pain, pressure, or tightness in your chest, throat, or jaw area
• Trouble breathing

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

• Dry mouth
• Weakness

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor

Tylenol

Acetaminophen (a-seet-a-MIN-oh-fen)

Treats minor pain and reduces fever.

Tylenol Should Not Be Used:

You should not use this medicine (Tylenol) if you have had an allergic
reaction to acetaminophen.

How to Use Tylenol

Tablet, Capsule, Liquid, Chewable Tablet, Dissolving Tablet, Fizzy
Tablet, Long Acting Tablet, Powder, Liquid Filled Capsule

• Your doctor will tell you how much of this medicine(Tylenol) to take
  and how often. Do not take more medicine or take it more often than your
  doctor tells you to. It is not safe to take more than 4 grams (4,000
  milligrams) of acetaminophen in one day (24 hours).
• If you are taking this medicine without the advice of your doctor,
  follow the label directions on the medicine package. Do not take this
  medicine(Tylenol) longer than 10 days in a row, unless your doctor tells
  you otherwise.
• You may take this medicine(Tylenol) with or without food.
• The chewable tablet should be chewed or crushed before you swallow
  it.
• Shake the oral liquid well just before each use. Measure the liquid
  with a marked measuring spoon or medicine cup.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the extended-release tablet. Swallow it
  whole.
• Drink a full glass of water when taking this medicine(Tylenol).

If a dose is missed:

• If you are taking this medicine (Tylenol) on a regular schedule and
  you miss a dose or forget to take your medicine, take it as soon as you
  can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to take
  the medicine and skip the missed dose.
• Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children, and never share your
  medicine with anyone.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including
over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

• Do not drink alcohol while you are using this medicine(Tylenol).
  Acetaminophen can damage your liver and drinking alcohol can increase
  this risk. If you regularly drink 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day,
  do not take Tylenol(acetaminophen) without asking your doctor.
• Do not also use other medicines that contain acetaminophen, or you
  may be getting more than a safe amount of this medicine.
• Many combination medicines contain acetaminophen, including products
  with brand names such as Alka-Seltzer Plus®, Comtrex®, Drixoral®,
  Excedrin Migraine®, Midol®, Sinutab®, Sudafed®, Theraflu®, and Vanquish®.
  Carefully check the labels of all other medicines you are using to be
  sure they do not contain acetaminophen.

TYLENOL (ACETAMINOPHEN) and FOOD

Taking acetaminophen (or any product containing acetaminophen) with food may
result in a decreased amount of acetaminophen in your blood. Using
acetaminophen and eating food may cause your medicine to not work for you.
Using acetaminophen and eating food is not recommended. It is important to
tell your doctor and pharmacist about all other medicines that you are
using. If you are already using acetaminophen and eating food, call your
doctor if you feel pain. Do not stop using your medicines without talking to
your doctor first.

Warnings While Using

How to Store and Dispose Tylenol:

• Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or
  if you have liver disease or kidney disease.
• Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if you develop
  new symptoms such as redness or swelling. If you have been using this
  medicine(Tylenol)  for a fever and the fever lasts longer than 3
  days, stop using the medicine(Tylenol)  and call your doctor.
• Make sure any doctor or dentist who treats you knows that you are
  using this medicine(Tylenol). Acetaminophen may affect the results of
  certain laboratory tests.

Possible Side Effects While Using Tylenol:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in face or hands,
  swelling or tingling in the mouth or throat, tightness in chest, trouble
  breathing
• Blood in stools or black, tarry stools
• Dark-colored urine or pale stools
• Lightheadedness, fainting, weakness, sweating
• Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, severe stomach pain
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds
• Yellow skin or eyes

If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this
medicine(Tylenol), tell your doctor.
